Who Is Saint Peter?
Also known as Simon Peter, one of the 12 Apostles of Jesus, he received from Jesus the name Cephas (from Aramaic Kepa ["Rock"]; hence Peter, from Petros, a Greek translation of Kepa).
Who Are We?
St. Peter's UCC is set on a scenic hilltop overlooking Richmond Township in Berks County, Pennsylvania, near U.S. route 222 between Kutztown and Reading. This historic rural setting offers an inspiring view of the East Penn Valley farmland and a unique closeness to God. For over 300 years, St. Peter's Church has brought the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the community through a ministry built on Biblical foundations. The current ministry at St. Peter's blends tradition with modern relevance, encouraging a faithful, Biblically informed, 21st Century Christian lifestyle.
What Makes St. Peter's, St. Peter's

St. Peter's Cemetery is owned by the church and incorporated separately to manage its affairs, governed by a five-member board — a president, treasurer, secretary, and two directors at large — made up of St. Peter's UCC members and burial lot owners.
We currently have two open seats on the board and would welcome your involvement. Reach out to Russel Hottenstein or Denice Fulmer through the church office at (610) 944-9418.
